Tisha Dodge, President of Dodge Legal Group, PC, began her distinctive legal practice in employment law litigating employer-employee issues such as breach of contract, discrimination, and sexual harassment.
In 1998, Tisha expanded her practice to encompass complex litigation cases representing employers in commercial class actions in over fifteen states. In most of these cases, she represented employers for overpayment of insurance premiums.
She has defended non-subscriber workplace injury claims and been involved in employment discrimination and retaliation cases, breach of contract and non-competition agreements, benefit denials under ERISA and COBRA, TWC unemployment benefits appeals, and legal representation both state and federal courts. She also provides general business and employment advice. Currently, she represents both employers and employees inside and outside the courtroom.
In 2004 and 2005, Tisha was recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine, which identified the top 2.5% of up and coming Texas attorneys.
Tisha earned her BA in Political Science with a minor in Communications from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1992. She graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1995, where she was Senior Articles Editor of THE INTERNATIONAL LAWYER.
Tisha interned with the U.S. Justice Department in Washington, D.C. through the Summer Honors Program and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the Dallas Regional Office. She is admitted to practice in all state courts of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Tisha continues to work with Small Business Assistance Centers in Dallas and Fort Worth to develop new businesses and to grow established companies. She served a mentor to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Flex Options Program where she provides legal advice regarding flexible employment and work sharing arrangements for employers and employees in Texas.
In addition to her legal qualifications, Tisha has been licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance as a Property & Casualty General Lines Agent since 2007.
